Stop Making Sense
Team Work
Event Planning
Stop Making Sense is a collaborative project that challenges the prevalence of meaningless visuals in design. I was responsible for event planning and the creation of supporting materials, including editorial layouts and a concept video. Through these elements, we invited designers to critically reflect on authorship, aesthetic intention, and the role of design in contemporary culture.
EVENT MATERIAL
DESIGNSince our theme was Stop Making Sense, we embraced bold visual decisions by combining unconventional colors and graphic blocks to create more imaginative layouts. The project included our tri-fold invitation, team business cards, and printed promotional pieces showcasing our shared ideology.GEOMETRIC
SHAPES
Geometric shapes—including circles, triangles, and diagonal lines—served as the primary visual elements in this project. These were featured in the video opener, team name tags, and promotional trifold, creating a cohesive and expressive visual system. Bold, multicolored design choices were intentionally made to reflect and reinforce our theme.
EVENT
RECAPDuring the event, we hosted a one‑hour Q&A session about our videos to answer audience questions. This was followed by a one‑hour workshop, where participants created posters without using computers—designed through a “pass‑the‑parcel” style collaborative process.
WEBSITE
DESIGNWe also created a website for our event, following the same design philosophy and allowing visitors to watch our promotional video online. The website was created by team member Nadia
VIDEO WE
MADE
For each of our individual ideologies, we produced a series of videos to explain our ideas and raise awareness. At the same time, we conducted interviews with relevant individuals to gain more valuable insights and perspectives.
